Chiharu Kanayama４歳よりピアノ、ソルフェージュを始める。
桐朋学園大学子供のための音楽教室、桐朋女子高等学校音楽科を経て桐朋学園大学音楽学部を卒業。同大学研究科在学中より演奏活動を始める。
桐朋学園大学主催のピアノ専攻生による選抜コンサート、桐朋学園大学卒業演奏会、同大学ピアノ専攻卒業演奏会に出演。
JPTA教育連盟オーディション第11回、第12回に入賞者演奏会出演。
レガシィコンクール1位。
PTNAピアノコンペティション ピアノデュオ初級、中級それぞれ全国大会１位。等
コンクール受賞歴多数。
ザルツブルク モーツァルテウム音楽院にてインターコンサート出演。
神奈川フィルハーモニー管弦楽団（指揮 梅田俊明氏）、その他オーケストラとも共演。
文化庁主催ブラジルでのコンサートをはじめ、その他国内外のコンサートに多数出演。
現在ソロの他に伴奏、アンサンブル、また高嶋ちさ子 12人のヴァイオリニスト専属ピアニストも務めており、様々なコンサートをはじめ都内五つ星ホテルでのラウンジ演奏やイベントでの演奏、豪華客船のメインショーにも出演。アートや華道等様々なジャンルとのコラボレーションにも携わるなどマルチに活躍している。
また、採譜等の楽譜制作、レコーディング、イベントやブライダル等の音楽プロデュースも行う。
サクソフォーン、ヴァイオリン、パーカッション、ピアノによるユニット「音の方舟」メンバー。これまでに様々なコンサートホールをはじめ新歌舞伎座でのコンサートや、ホテルオークラ カウントダウンコンサートも行う。
これまでにピアノを土肥由美子、江崎光代、三木裕子、故加藤伸佳、朴久玲の各氏、マスタークラス等でツェルニー・ステファンスカ、ドミニク・メルレ、ミハイル・ヴォスクレセンスキーの各氏、アンサンブルを江崎光代氏、アレンジを木並和彦氏に師事。
Chiharu is a Japanese pianist.
She began learning to play the piano at the age of four.
She later entered the Toho Gakuen's "Music Class for Children" in Kamakura, Toho School of Music High School and Toho College of Music studying under Professor Nobuyoshi Kato.
She also studied with Yumiko Doi, Mitsuyo Esaki, Hiroko Miki, Kooryeong Park, Halina Czerny-Stefańska, Dominique Merlet and Mikhail Voskresensky. Chiharu also studied piano arrangement with Kazuhiko Kinami.
Chiharu has won many awards in competitions, including 1st prize in the PTNA Music Competition and 1st prize in the LEGACY Music Competition amongst others.
In her music career, she has performed at many venues in Japan, Austria, France and Brazil, including the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre and Kioi Hall.
Chiharu has been invited to attend many international music festivals, such as the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg in Austria and the 100th Anniversary Concert of Immigrants in Brazil.
She has also appeared as soloist with the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra. The performance was under conductor Toshiaki Umeda.
Chiharu also performs as a classical pianist on luxury cruise ships and in hotel lounges, but also plays other popular music genres.
